Smart Notebook Lessons

Sections of this notebook file can be used with students from Kindergarten through to Year 4. Hands from each
analog clock are missing and students are to guess the time using the other hand on the clock. The clocks use
o'clock, half hour and quarter hour settings.

Several pages of analog clocks. Can be used for discussing how to read the time on an analog clock and also
how to write the time in digital form.

An introduction to 24 hour time. Stage 3.

Wake the Rooster - This app has a completely interactive analog clock which children need to manipulate in order to wake the rooster up at the correct time.

Assessment Tasks

Stage 1 - Time
This task requires students to draw a picture of an activity at a particular time of day and record this using analog and digital time. A rubric and work samples are included.
